Stratford-upon-Avon Symphony Orchestra is delighted to be coming to the Greig Hall for the first time for their Summer Concert.
Our concert opens with the exhilarating Meistersingers Prelude using the full forces of the orchestra. It is followed by Elgar’s evocative Sea Pictures, soloist Suzie Purkis. The performance concludes with the ever popular Swan Lake ballet Suite.
There is something in this programme to appeal to all classical music lovers, young and old alike.
Suzie is a Mezzo-soprano, originally from the Midlands, with a busy singing and teaching career. Last year she was made a Longborough Festival Opera Emerging Artist and has a string of awards and accolades to her name.
